Dipropylene Glycol (Ordinary Grade) is a co-product in the manufacture of propylene glycol, which is produced by hydrolyzing propylene oxide with excess water at high temperature and pressure. Dipropylene glycol regular grade is a distillate containing more than 99% dipropylene glycol.
Dipropylene glycol is a colorless, essentially odorless, water-soluble and moderately viscous hygroscopic liquid with low vapor pressure and toxicity, and is a mixture of several structural isomers.
